These Buffalo Chicken Tenders are the ultimate comfort food: crispy, spicy, and incredibly easy to make at home on a budget. Perfect for students, game nights, or anyone craving a flavorful homemade snack!

  • Total Time: 30 min
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb (500 g) chicken tenders or breast strips

  • 1 cup (120 g) flour

  • 2 eggs

  • 1 cup (100 g) breadcrumbs or panko

  • Salt, pepper

  • 1 tsp paprika (optional)

  • Oil for frying or baking

  • ½ cup (100 ml) Buffalo sauce (or hot sauce + melted butter)

  • 1 tbsp butter

Instructions

  1. Cut the chicken into strips and season with salt and pepper.

  2. Set up three bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, one with breadcrumbs + paprika.

  3. Dredge each chicken strip in flour, dip in egg, and coat with breadcrumbs.

  4. Fry in oil at 350°F (170°C) for 3–4 minutes or bake at 400°F (200°C) for 15–20 minutes, flipping halfway.

  5. Heat Buffalo sauce with melted butter.

  6. Toss tenders in sauce or serve sauce on the side for dipping.

Notes

  • Adjust spiciness by adding honey or ketchup to the sauce.

  • Make it healthier by baking instead of frying.

  • Serve with carrot sticks, celery, and ranch dressing for the full experience.
