Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon balm leaves (or 1 tablespoon dried)
- 1½ cups hot water (not boiling)
- 1 teaspoon honey (optional)
- 1 lemon slice (optional)
- Fresh mint leaves (optional)
Instructions
- Rinse and lightly crush the lemon balm leaves to release the oils.
- Place the leaves in a mug or tea infuser.
- Pour hot water (not boiling) over the leaves.
- Cover and let steep for 5 to 10 minutes.
- Strain the tea and add honey or lemon if desired.
- Serve warm or pour over ice for a cold version.
Notes
- For a stronger calming effect, mix with chamomile or lavender.
- Use dried lemon balm if fresh isn’t available—reduce quantity by half.
- Store leftover tea in a mason jar in the fridge for up to 3 days.
